Want to enjoy walks again?

You’ve watched dozens of YouTube videos. You’ve tried all the harnesses and collars your dog-loving friends have recommended. You’ve offered your dog the best treats to distract them from that dog—or person, or bike, or kid on a scooter—on the other side of the street.

Nothing has worked.

Your dog is a honeybun at home, but on your walks, other people only see a barking, lunging maniac.

You’re tired of the looks and comments from passersby. Walking your dog at 10:00 at night to avoid all your dog’s triggers is wearing you out.

Want your dog to walk down the street calmly?

Want to walk past that house with the barking dogs?

How about go hiking on the pet trail together?

Ready to stop worrying about passing bicyclists, runners or kids on scooters?

We can get you there.

We’re experts on dog reactivity, and it’s our favorite behavior to work with; we’ve lived with, loved and worked with reactive dogs all over Columbus for more than twenty-five years.

There’s no need to send your dog away to a “board and train” facility that locks them into a kennel and uses a shock collar to frighten your dog into submission. Instead, we’ll teach real-world skills right in your own home and neighborhood, so that your dog is practicing where all the problems are…and they’re waiting for you, content and worn out, when your workday is over.

This is why we only offer day training for dog-reactive dogs: we have the expertise and hands-on skills to install new behaviors so that you can see results, fast. And we’ll transfer those skills to you so you can finally enjoy a relaxing walk with your dog!

“We wanted to give you a Sully update, you would have been so proud of him. Yesterday our walk felt a little like a final exam and he aced it! Easily 7-8 dogs on walks on our street, groups of people walking, and even a loose dog from the corner house that was halfway up the street and came right up to us and Sully did great! Didn’t react to any of them as we walked by and when a group of us converged on the loose dog, one barked at us and we barked back only a little and were able to get back to calm quickly.

He also has been learning the run command to go along side me and he’s been doing good with that so far. PLUS we were able to leave him loose by himself for a trial half hour yesterday and he did great, was just sleeping on the couch with no problems. So we wanted to thank you again for helping us learn to work together and hope you know how appreciative we are!”
